B*tches Be Crazy.
There are plenty of times in all of our lives where we can admit to doing things we aren’t necessarily proud of. Although there is one thing that stands out in my mind, taking crazy to a whole new level. I am far from perfect, but this is just asinine ladies.
You know what really Grinds my Gears?
When a girl thinks that she can keep a man around by getting pregnant. Or worse, thinking she should play God and “Accidentally” forget to take a birth control pill. I know that in the back of your head you think “Ehhh, he might not think so now, but as soon as we have this baby, it will totally bring us closer than ever!” This is indeed, a THINKING ERROR. If you are guilty of thinking this way, learn some positive self talk or seek therapy immediately. Having children isn’t a way to fix things. It isn’t something to joke about, and It certainly isn’t some exciting new way to become well known by getting onto a teen mom series. Even though the media glorifies this idea, I can promise you that the girls on that show will tell you the exact thing I am trying to preach right now. Being a parent ain’t no walk in the park. I realize that accidents happen, but intentional deception towards another human being is morally wrong. And distasteful to say the least.
I can assure you, that waiting until you are both ready will be the best choice. If you two are meant to be together, even if it is years down the road, you will be! Having a child will do nothing but make your relationship spiral downward…fast. Plus, do you really want him to resent you for stopping him from living his dreams? No wonder he isn’t there for you when you’re 9 months pregnant or in labor. He’s already upset because he has had no say in the matter. The very last thing you will want is for either of you to resent that innocent little baby when your life and stability are in shambles.
My motivation in saying this isn’t to sound like Rev Run or that creepy mom you want to slam the door on. Please just trust me in telling you, that I have seen it all. So that means even when you’re on antibiotics, you still need to be having protected sex because your birth control will be inactive. Gentleman, be weary of this; BITCHES BE CRAZY.
I am now 28 years old and married- and even though we had a planned pregnancy and Brixton Banks is my everything, I wish that I had waited just a few more years. To enjoy my 8 hours of sleep just a little bit longer. To travel with my husband and celebrate soaking up every last moment of alone time together.
So go to college, save up some money, live your dreams and then decide.
You will thank me later, I promise.
I am all for empowering women and supporting one another, but this is just something I will never stand behind. A man should never be pressured into something he doesn’t have a choice in.
Making the world a better place by taking down one ludicrous fantasy at a time…
