Modern Day Mom

Just because you’re a new mom, doesn’t mean you have to dress like one. I mean sure, we might not ever look as glam as when we had 90 minutes to shave, blow dry and makeup (pre piglet) – but there is always time for a quick shower and casual outfit.

Even if you have just 15 minutes, you can always strap the little in their car seat and set them on the bathroom counter to watch you get ready. If you have a toddler, to occupy their short- wild attention span, I think it’s okay to put a brief television show on the iPad while you rinse off and outfit choose. I justify it being alright a few times a week so that you can leave your house feeling pretty and much more presentable.

A little blush, mascara, and lip gloss can go a long way for a more satisfied and confident mommy on the go.

  • 1- A collared tank top with a sweater pulled over to layer with  the collar pulled out. To dress it up, Add a fun chunky necklace around the collar. If you live in a warmer climate like me, tie the sweater around your shoulders. You never know when you’ll hit air conditioning and feel glad to have it with you. Plus, my inner prepster aint mad at this idea.
  • 2- A basic light wash pair of jeans rolled up once on the bottom.
  • 3- Wedges, wedges wedges. Always acceptable for any summer occasion.

Don’t get discouraged. If I can do it with this little tasmanian devil and no babysitter, I promise that you can too.

xx
